Our dairy department is looking for a reliable and energetic Dairy Clerk. This position requires early morning starts at 4:00 a.m. and involves stocking, rotating, and merchandising dairy products while ensuring excellent customer service and food safety standards are maintained.
Responsibilities Include:
- Receive, inspect, and stock dairy products, including milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs, and other refrigerated items
- Rotate merchandise to ensure product freshness
- Monitor product quality and remove damaged, expired, or unsaleable items
- Maintain accurate pricing and signage throughout the department
- Ensure dairy cases, coolers, and displays are clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Assist with inventory counts and ordering as required
- Provide friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable customer service
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist in locating products
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and pricing devices safely
- Assist in other departments as needed
Qualifications:
- No experience necessary, willing to train the right candidate
- Remarkable organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to work independently or in a team environment
- Has strong verbal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a safe and responsible manner
- Comfortable working in refrigerated environments
