We are currently recruiting for a Canadian Full-time Maintenance 2 position.
If you have a minimum of a high school diploma with a valid DZ license, proven mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing a variety of maintenance and repair work, including commercial buildings, vehicles, equipment, and roadways while operating heavy motorized vehicles and maintenance machinery, we would like to hear from you.
This unionized position offers comprehensive health benefits and retirement savings package with an hourly rate of $32.11 (2026 rate) based on a forty (40) hour work week.
Hours of work are forty (40) hours per week, 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday in general. However, the schedule is subject to change from time to time as determined by management, including implementation of winter control schedule. Must be available for a 24/7 schedule to support the operation as determined by the authority.
This position will primarily report to work at Authority operations in centers in Fort Erie, Ontario, and may be required to perform work on Authority property and facilities on either side of the bridge (Fort Erie, Ontario and Buffalo, New York) as needed. Employment is conditional upon and maintenance of international border crossing identification and security clearance which includes enrollment in the NEXUS program. (Security clearance and NEXUS program enrollment is not a prerequisite for applying but must be obtained to satisfy employment.)
