The Role
We are currently looking for a CNC Lathe Machinist to join our growing team. This position is based at our Passmore facility.
This is a full time position on the afternoon shift.
Day Shift:
Monday - Thursday: 6:00AM - 3:30PM
Friday: 6:00AM - 2:00PM
Afternoon Shift:
Monday - Thursday: 3:30pm - 12:30am
Friday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Job Description
The CNC Lathe Machinist machines and processes metal parts through the use of a CNC lathe and other systems in the machine shop
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and fabricate metal parts as required by the specifications
- Setup and operate CNC lathes in accordance with approved safe work procedures
- Work from process sheets, blueprints, and/or verbal instructions
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, report any broken pieces of equipment
- Read micrometers, vernier calipers, etc
- Check for tolerances
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in operating CNC Lathe Machines
- Previous experience using Fanuc controls
- Must be able to perform set-up
- Previous work experience using hand tools and measuring devices
- Accuracy and precision in machining of parts
- Strong communication skills
- Strong team player
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Flexible with working overtime on an occasional basis
