Job Title: Trim/Letter Cell Assembler
Department: Assembly
Scope of the Position
The Trim and Letter Cell Assembler is responsible for the trimming of various faces and wiring and assembly of led signage for installation.
Key Objectives and Accountabilities
- Provide high quality product within specified timelines and adhere to Pride Signs quality standards
- Support and engages, in a timely manner, all areas within the Assembly Dept. (Trim, Letter Bending, Letter Cell, Crating)
- Foster a cooperative work environment by actively participating in team collaboration and supporting various associates and teams
Essential Functions
- Understand work orders and follows verbal instructions to trim product accordingly
- Identify and uses the appropriate gluing techniques for each style of trim
- Ensure proper handling and storage of product pre/post trim operation
- Wear required PPE when on the plant floor
- Work with glues/solvents to form plastic trim to product faces (Lexan/Acrylic)
- Operate SDS Trim Cutting machine
- Use small hand tools (snips/pliers) to trim lexan/acrylic faces
- Calculate/record material consumption and hands in work order material travelers for Epicor data entry
- Confer with Team Lead/Lead Hand regarding trim/assembly wiring questions
- Assist with various Letter Cell functions to prepare signage components for quality checks, crating and installation as required
- Assemble and attach illumination, wiring, backers, and face as per work orders.
- Cooperate with Joint Health and Safety Committee directives and adheres to all plant safety rules/policies
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly (5S)
- Other duties as assigned
Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience
- High School Diploma preferred
- Minimum 6 months of experience in similar environment. (Electronic Assembly/Wiring)
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Strong math skills.
- Effective listening and verbal skills
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, responsibility, and reliability.
- Ability to read and use measurements, interpret blueprints, and work with power tools.
- Collaborative, team-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
