Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role requires a strong mechanical background, electrical experience, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Duties
- Install, align, and assemble machinery using precision tools and techniques
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software for maintenance planning and execution
- Conduct inspections of equipment such as boilers, HVAC systems, and other mechanical systems
- Weld components as needed for repairs or modifications
- Work with electrical systems, including low voltage wiring and industrial electrician tasks
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS systems
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve machinery reliability and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations during all maintenance activities
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance and manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including low voltage wiring and industrial electrician skills
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and documentation
- Welding skills for equipment repair or fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, and other mechanical systems is a plus
- Ability to analyze complex problems quickly and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork
- Customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or external vendors
- Safety-conscious mindset with adherence to industry standards
