Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Steel Framer to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for framing structures using steel studs, ensuring precise measurements, and maintaining high safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The individual will collaborate with project managers and other trades to deliver quality results on time and within specifications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately frame structures with steel studs.
- Measure, cut, and assemble steel framing components using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed.
- Install steel studs for interior and exterior walls, partitions, and load-bearing structures following safety protocols.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work site.
- Assist in restoration or siding projects as part of broader construction tasks.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Experience with concrete forming, concrete finishing, and welding techniques.
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools
- Knowledge of metal siding installation and restoration processes.
- Strong carpentry skills with a focus on framing using steel studs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation relevant to construction sites.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
