Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Logging Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks to transport logs and forestry materials efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and reliability. Responsibilities
- Safely operate logging trucks and associated heavy equipment to transport timber from forest sites to processing locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks on trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Load and unload logs using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring secure transportation
- Follow all safety protocols, including adherence to DOT regulations and environmental guidelines
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, cargo, and vehicle maintenance records
- Assist with general site tasks such as maintenance, use of hand tools, power tools, or as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules, routes, and safety concerns
- Perform minor repairs or troubleshooting related to mechanical issues or equipment malfunctions
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with heavy-duty trucks or logging vehicles
- Mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance and minor repairs of trucks and equipment
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in forestry or construction settings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools,
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to commercial driving, logging operations, and equipment handling
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and site personnel
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, loading/unloading logs, and working in outdoor environments under varying conditions

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
