Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our woodworking team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and manufacturing, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves crafting custom cabinets and furniture, ensuring precise measurements, high-quality finishes, and adherence to project specifications. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to produce custom cabinetry and woodwork.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other woodworking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinet components with precision.
- Perform restoration work on existing cabinetry or furniture pieces as needed.
- Measure accurately for material cutting and assembly to meet project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other tradespeople for seamless project execution.
- Assist with material estimation and project planning when required.
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinetry making, carpentry, woodworking, or related construction fields.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
- Education in cabinet making or a related woodworking trade is considered an asset.
- Prior experience with construction or handyman tasks is a plus.
