Fitter Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage sizable custom projects with minimal oversight.
- Interpret engineered drawings to fabricate diverse custom structures.
- Demonstrate expertise in the fabrication process of large structures.
- Safely operate standard tooling and machinery in the fabrication industry.
- Uphold a high standard of workmanship, ensuring precision within tight tolerances and working effectively.
Fitter Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and valid CWB Certification and/or Trade Certification.
- Minimum of 7 years of fitting experience required.
- Advanced-level fitting skills are a prerequisite.
- Proficient in setting up and executing various welding techniques, including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and air carbon arc gouging.
- Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawing specifications, structural drawings, and welding symbols.
- Certification as a Forklift/Crane Operator would be considered an asset.
Employment Details:
- Competitive wages offered based on Experience - $29 plus per hour
- Day Shift: Monday to Thursday: 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, Friday: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
- Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday: 4:00 pm to 3:30 am - Additional premium offered
- Location - Guelph, Transit Accessible
