Detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver required for Mississauga warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. This role is vital to maintaining smooth distribution processes and supporting overall warehouse productivity. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems are highly valued. Duties
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, counterbalance or other material handling equipment
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, labeling, and documenting orders accurately
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damages
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records
- Pick and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in order picking and
- Maintain organized storage areas to facilitate efficient loading and unloading operations
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy
- Follow safety procedures during all shipping, receiving, and material handling activities
Skills
- Experience with forklift operation, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory management and order processing
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution practices and e-commerce shipping requirements
- Experience with packaging materials and techniques for safe shipment of goods
- Ability to operate order pickers efficiently for order picking tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory accuracy
- Physical ability to load & unload shipments, lift heavy items safely, and stand for extended periods
