Qualifications:
- Valid Manitoba Teaching License (required)
- Minimum 3 years of Canadian teaching experience (required)
- Leadership experience in Canadian schools (asset)
- Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and instructional best practices
- Proven ability to coach and support teachers effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a collaborative and positive school culture
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive and inclusive environment
- Proficiency in integrating educational technology into instruction
- Flexible, collaborative, and committed to continuous professional growth
- Experience in an Islamic school or knowledge of Islamic education is an asset

Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership
- Support teachers in long-term and short-term lesson planning
- Mentor and coach teachers to strengthen instructional practices
- Contribute to teacher appraisal processes and professional growth planning
- Conduct regular classroom observations and walkthroughs with the Principal
- Provide constructive, actionable feedback to enhance teaching quality
Curriculum & Assessment
- Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of the Manitoba curriculum
- Lead school-wide data analysis to identify trends and learning gaps
- Support teachers in using assessment data to inform instruction
Professional Development
- Plan and lead meaningful professional development sessions
- Introduce innovative teaching practices and educational technologies
Student Life & School Culture
- Organize and lead extracurricular activities and school events
- Coordinate participation in interschool competitions
- Lead academic initiatives such as science fairs, STEM events, and literacy programs
Teaching Duties (Partial Teaching Load)
The Teaching Vice Principal will also carry a partial teaching assignment and model exemplary classroom practice.
Teaching Responsibilities
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment grounded in cultural and moral values
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Manitoba curriculum standards
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learners
- Foster a respectful and engaging classroom that promotes student participation and collaboration
- Assess student learning through formative and summative methods and provide timely feedback
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and IEPs where applicable
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate actively in professional development
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and well-being
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe learning environment
- Adhere to school policies, procedures, and professional standards
- Report to the School Principal and support the overall mission and vision of the school
Position Details
- Start Date: Flexible, no later than August 24, 2026
- Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year (based on experience)
