Maintenance Worker – Job Description
Position Summary
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing general building maintenance, repairs, and upkeep to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and in good condition. This role involves a mix of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to service requests from management or tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify issues and safety hazards
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
- Perform minor repairs such as minor plumbing, fixture replacement, and general repairs
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of mechanical rooms and exterior grounds
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes
- Keep accurate records of work performed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance, construction, or building operations preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and general repairs
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically able to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various conditions
Work Conditions
- Indoor and outdoor work required in all weather conditions
- Physical work including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
Pay: From $4,500.00 per month
