Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individula to join our team as Quality Engineer. The ideal candidae will be self-driven, able to implement new programs and take the department to the next level. This is a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This position involves collaborating with various departments to implement effective quality management practices, conducting inspections, and analyzing processes to enhance product quality. The Quality Engineer is resluts-focused and will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Promotes and adheres to all company Environmental Health & Safety standards, in Accordance with all company policies and procedures.
- Provide direction needed to ensure effective utilization of quality department.
- Developing and implementing quality standards.
- Developing and implementing quality control systems.
- Monitoring and analyzing quality performance.
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Collaborating with Operations and Engineering to develop and implement controls and improvements.
- Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
- Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
- Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
- Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
- Guarantee full compliance to IPC, UL, CSA, ISO, Tulsar QMS, and customer requirements by inspecting all assemblies in production and verifying that they are in conformance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- New project and production support with drawing CTQ and gages required for production
- Duties include WIP inspection, Final QC, Reporting, data collection, and leading corrective actions, validation, and other assigned tasks.
- Monitor first piece inspections, document trends, and develop reactions to reduce rework/scrap.
- Assist customer service , manufacturing, supply, and design problem resolution, as required
- Lead and mentor quality inspectors
Experience / Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Graduate and/or Post-Secondary education in Manufacturing, Quality or other related discipline.
- PMP Certification an asset
- ASQ certification preferred
- Fluent verbal and written English, French an asset
- 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance , or a similar role.
- Proven experience in quality assurance, quality control, and project management
- Leadership Training, or experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills to assess data and identify trends
- Able to communicate with all levels of the business, work effectively with cross-functional teams.
