Warehouse Associate
Warehouse Associate Responsibilities:
- Utilizes a forklift/reach truck to pick stock from zone locations (upper and main levels) to complete orders for customers
- Utilizes an RF scanner for picking requirements
- Receives product efficiently and accurately via a wireless handheld device
- Organizes products using predetermined zones
- Confirms number of items picked into inventory system using a handheld device
- Ensures product is packed in containers efficiently and safely
- Builds skids to be sent to customers
- Communicates daily progress to Warehouse Managment
- Observes safety regulations i.e. working in a safe manner and wearing the required safety attire at all times
- Maintains good housekeeping including reports of any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Highschool (current student or graduate)
- WHMIS and Safe Lifting knowledge is an asset
- Forklift experience is required
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Regularly lift/move objects that range from 10-55 lbs
- Frequent walking, crouching, climbing, carrying, reaching, standing, pushing, and pulling of skids via a pump truck and products via a dolly
- Capable of learning new skills and transferring that knowledge immediately and accurately
