Responsibilities
- Assist in building permaculture landscapes & infrastructure that incorporate sustainable practices and ecological harmony
- Use hand tools and power tools to build things, prepare soil, plant trees, shrubs, and perennial crops with precision and care
- Maintain access, water, structure, energy, & vegetation systems
- Conduct regular landscape maintenance including chain-sawing,pruning, mulching, weeding, and composting to promote plant vitality
- Support the installation and upkeep of water, renewable energy, & infrastructural systems to optimize human use across various sites
- Survey problems; devise solutions (food-water-energy)
- Collaborate with team members to plan seasonal schedules and safe interventions that enhance QoL, safety, & ecosystem services.
Experience
- Prior Building / Construction Experience (working with tools, power tools, heavy machines or in landscape maintenance is highly desirable)
- Knowledge of permaculture principles & a hard work ethic.
- Familiarity with elements of civilization crisis and a learned problem-solving background
- Hands-on experience in DIY construction & landscape projects demonstrating attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude

Pay: $15.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 100.0 per week
