The Position
Effective October 26, 2026, a one year Locum Hospitalist position is available at Holland Bloorview. We are recruiting for a Developmental Paediatrician, General Paediatrician, or Complex Care Physician who has clinical interest in the medical care and rehabilitation of children and youth with disabilities. As an integral member of our interprofessional team, your responsibilities will include the provision of clinical care an opportunity for teaching or quality initiatives.
The successful applicant must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Paediatrics (or equivalent). Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Role accountabilities will be divided into 80% clinical time and 20% academic time
- Clinical duties will include care of inpatient clients during their inpatient rehibition course
- Involved in the training of students
- On-call/coverage responsibilities
- Work along side multidisplinary team
Qualifications
Licence/Membership
- Certificate in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent.
- Eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto
- Subspecialty Residency or Fellowship in Developmental Paediatrics or Complex Care is considered an asset but not required
Experience
- Experience in the provision of pediatric care to children/youth with disabilities
- Communication
- Effective conflict resolution, networking and negotiation skills.
Knowledge/Skills
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding of the Centre’s Vision, Values and Mandate.
- Family and client centred approach
