Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on various vehicle makes and models using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct repairs including engine work, brake systems, suspension, electrical systems, and more with precision using hand tools and power tools
- Utilize welding skills for bodywork repairs or structural modifications as needed
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components following manufacturer specifications and schematics
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed in company systems
- Lift heavy parts or equipment safely during repairs, adhering to proper safety protocols for heavy lifting
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures, estimated timelines, and maintenance recommendations clearly
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and assembly instructions
- Skilled in welding, working with heavy lifting equipment, and using various hand tools and power tools effectivly
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing engine systems, electrical diagnostics, transmission repairs, and more
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately for precise repairs
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about their vehicle’s needs
