The Position:
We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Primary/Junior Mathematics Teacher for a 0.5 Long-Term Occasional (LTO) position. The assignment will run from September 1, 2026 to June 30,2027.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a variety of engaging teaching and learning strategies to support student success across diverse learning profiles.
- Use both formal and informal assessment tools to monitor, evaluate, and report on student progress.
- Demonstrate effective and positive classroom management, fostering a strong sense of community and ensuring a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- Provide necessary modifications and accommodations for English Language Learners (ELLs), students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and gifted learners.
- Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues, contributing to a supportive and collaborative school culture.
- Exhibit a high level of organization and time management, meeting deadlines and managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Follow the policies, expectations, and instructional practices outlined in the Fern Hill School Teacher Handbook.
- Demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, and a commitment to participating in all aspects of faculty and school life.
- Engage actively in professional growth, showing a willingness to reflect on and evolve instructional practice through school-based and external professional development.
Skills and Qualifications:
- An Ontario Teaching Certificate (Good Standing).
- Subject specific qualifications and willingness to gain additional levels is an asset.
- Ability to create a warm, engaging, and structured classroom environment.
- Excellent organization and classroom management skill.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and colleagues.
- Experience in a private school setting is an asset.
Pay: $30,000.00-$59,000.00 per year
