About the Role
As an Arborist in Training, you’ll work alongside experienced crew members to safely care for trees in residential and commercial settings. This is a seasonal, outdoor position ideal for someone who likes physical work and wants to learn a unique, in-demand trade.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with tree pruning, removals, and general maintenance
- Handle ropes, rigging equipment, and ground support for climbers
- Operate tools such as chainsaws, chippers, and hand equipment (training provided)
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Assess tree health and diagnose issues using horticultural knowledge
- Load and manage debris (yes, there’s lifting involved)
- Follow safety procedures and learn industry best practices
- Support climbers and gradually learn climbing techniques (for those interested)
What We’re Looking For
- Physically fit and comfortable with demanding outdoor work
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Valid MB driver’s license a requirement
- Experience is not required—but a bonus
