We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the business unit for FuelPay by Sylogist!
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the fuel payments industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth and operational excellence, with a particular focus on hydrogen fuel solutions.
FuelPay by Sylogist is a cutting-edge solution that provides POS capabilities for all major pump manufacturers worldwide, integrating seamlessly with ERP and fueling systems. Our innovative and flexible features are designed to help fuel businesses grow, supporting multiple pump brands, fuel types, and configurations. FuelPay is committed to providing leading technology with EMV chip and pin certifications, processor certifications, and PCI/PADSS compliance. We are especially focused on expanding our payment solutions for hydrogen fuel while continuing to support traditional fuel retailers.
- Leadership & Management: Oversee the daily operations of the FuelPay business unit, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand FuelPay's market presence and customer base, with a focus on hydrogen fuel payment solutions. Develop and implement growth strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Customer Focus: Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Address customer concerns and feedback promptly and effectively.
- Operational Excellence: Streamline business processes to improve efficiency and productivity. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.
- Product Innovation: Work closely with the product development team to enhance and expand FuelPay's offerings, particularly in the area of hydrogen fuel payments. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to keep FuelPay at the forefront of the market.
- Partnerships & Alliances: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including pump manufacturers, ERP and POS system providers, and other industry players, with an emphasis on the hydrogen fuel sector.
- Government Relationships: Seek out government relationships and programs to support the growth of the business unit.
- Marketing & Sales: Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns and sales strategies. Represent FuelPay at industry events and conferences to promote the brand.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy sector, preferably with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving financial targets.
- An understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Experience in product development and innovation, especially in hydrogen fuel payment solutions
- Previous experience in the hydrogen sector
