GeoVerra is seeking a motivated Project Biller to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting.

Thrives on delivering results to a designated portfolio. You are going to be responsible for all billing related duties and have a portfolio of approximately 350 ongoing projects in multiple provinces.
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday (General business hours 8am-5pm)
Status: Full Time Position, 40hours a week, some overtime can be expected
Generate, file and submit a high volume of draft invoices with supporting documentation to reviewers (Business Support Team) and approvers (Project Managers)
Complete draft revisions, prepare and submit final invoice packages to internal and external clients within tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization
Obtain and take notes on client specific billing instructions to ensure billing accuracy
Ensure all outgoing invoices align with signed client agreements
Facilitate invoice submissions via email or upload to an online client portal per client requirements
Analyze work-in-progress reporting to ensure all non-current amounts are actioned and escalated as required
Follow up with Project Managers on delayed billing and escalate to management if further approval is required
Maintain highly organized electronic filing of all draft invoices, final invoices and all supporting documents (including preparation of supplemental reporting, signed field tickets, statutory declarations, etc.)
Set-up and manage Billing Terms in ERP system for billing portfolio
Conduct billing reconciliations on a regular basis or as required
Work closely with other areas of the organization (including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Project Accountants) as required to promptly address and resolve issues and inquiries
Assess and recommend billing process improvements to management to increase the overall efficiency
Experience & Education Requirements
2-5 years of billing, AP/AR, or accounting experience
Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration
Experience supporting survey or construction project management teams is considered an asset
Working knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint or Deltek Vision is considered an asset
Intermediate skills with various software (Excel, Outlook, Adobe PDF and SharePoint)
Prior experience with client invoice submission portals such as OpenInvoice, Ariba and Cortex is highly valued

Optimizes electronic filing system (experience working within a paperless organization is a must)
