Position Title: Early Learning Centre – Assistant float
Location: Huntsville Children’s Place
Terms of Employment:
Status: Permanent Part-Time
Start Date: Sept 14, 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, hours of work 7:30-9:30/12:00-2:00(subject to change), up to 4 hour per day, up to 20 hours per week, contingent upon enrolment.
Actual hours of work may be subject to slight variation
Rate of Pay: $22.11 -$24.58 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
Skill Requirements:
· Early Childhood Education Diploma would be an asset.
· Currently enrolled in ECE or child development courses working towards ECE diploma an asset.
· Secondary School Diploma.
· One year related experience and/or education.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
· Knowledge and understanding of the How Does Learning Happen? document
· A commitment to the childcare field with a philosophy that is conducive to that of Muskoka Family Focus and Children's Place.
· Good attendance record.
· Able to meet the physical demands of working with children.
· Current Standard First Aid and Infant Child C.P.R. Certificate.
· WHMIS 2015 Training Certificate.
· Worker Health and Safety Certificate.
· Violence and Harassment in the Workplace Certification.
· Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check and Medical Assessment, including up to date immunizations including Hep B, on hiring and as required by Muskoka Family Focus and Children's Place policies.
