This job posting is for an existing, active vacancy and We are looking to hire Sr. Control System Engineer (Fly-By-Wire and Secondary Flight) in Montreal, QC (Onsite), immediately who has strong experience in FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on the aircraft.
Role Overview:
The FBW & Secondary Flight Control Engineering team and the business are looking for a Senior Professional, Engineering who has product and process to ensure a sustaining program (Challenger, Global Express, Global 8000) while preparing it for the challenges and demands of the future (Ecojet).
Job Description
· Perform the integration of the FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on the aircraft.
· Support the development of concepts, design approach and philosophy with the Flight Control system supplier.
· Perform/Review analysis to evaluate concepts feasibility.
· Develop, validate and verify technical requirements of the Flight Control System.
· Review/Prepare technical requirements.
· Review/Prepare test procedures.
· Execute test rig and/or aircraft testing.
· Review/Prepare test reports in support of certification activities.
· Resolve problems arising from in-service aircraft..
· Troubleshooting, root cause determination, corrective action definition and execution.
· Ensure compliance to the ARP4754 development process.
· Support trade off studies and life cycle cost analysis for future programs.
· Ensure the design process and the resulting equipment implementation is in line with client’s requirements and standards.
Required Skills
· You hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in aerospace related field.
· You have been directly involved in the definition and certification of at least one FBW and/or Secondary Flight Control system.
· You possess a good understanding of all facets of system definition, integration, and certification and have a knowledge of aircraft systems and interfaces (e.g., electrical, hydraulic, avionics, auto-flight).
· You have knowledge of Part 25 certification process.
· You have experience in modeling and dynamic simulation of flight controls electrical and hydraulic actuators is an asset.
· You have a working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow simulation environment.
· You have some familiarity with other simulation environments such as ADAMS, or design tools such as CATIA would be an asset.
Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
