Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Assistant Facilities and Maintenance Manager for our client in Regina, SK.
You will be responsible for overseeing building operations, preventive maintenance programs, facility assets, HVAC systems, mechanical and electrical infrastructure, contractor management, and skilled trades teams across a large multi-use facility.
The ideal candidate has experience in facilities management, industrial maintenance, building operations, commercial construction, or asset management and enjoys leading teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Facility Operations

Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for building systems, equipment, and facility assets.

Ensure the reliable operation of HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and building control systems.

Monitor asset performance and recommend maintenance, repair, or replacement strategies as required.
Team Leadership
-
Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to maintenance staff and skilled trades teams.

Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.

Promote a positive culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Maintenance Planning & Contractor Management
-
Coordinate maintenance schedules, work orders, shutdowns, and repair activities to minimize operational disruptions.

Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Oversee maintenance inventory, tools, equipment, and parts requirements.
Budget & Administrative Support

Assist with the development and management of departmental operating and capital budgets.

Monitor maintenance expenditures, create purchase orders, and approve invoices.

Maintain maintenance records, asset data, and performance reporting.
Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
-
Support workplace safety programs and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and standards.

Participate in the on-call rotation for facility-related emergencies.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, asset reliability, sustainability, and maintenance practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Work closely with internal departments to coordinate maintenance activities and support operational requirements.

Provide recommendations and updates regarding facility conditions, maintenance priorities, and asset performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
-
Technical diploma or degree in a related discipline, OR Journeyperson certification in one of the following: Electrician, Millwright, Carpenter, Plumber, Power Engineer, Building Systems Technician

Minimum 5 years of experience in: Industrial maintenance. Building operations and maintenance, Commercial construction or Facilities management

Minimum 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or team coordination experience
-
Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
-
Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset

Strong knowledge of building maintenance and facility management practices
-
Knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, and construction standards
-
Experience with HVAC, refrigeration systems, boilers, electrical systems, and building automation systems
-
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings
-
Strong leadership and employee development skills
-
Proven budgeting, financial planning, and cost-control abilities
-
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software applications

Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment
