Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the preparation of high-quality meals that delight our guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to the restaurant's standards and recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and kitchen operations.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or food service role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Basic cooking skills with an eagerness to learn more advanced techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
