Position Summary
QRC Logistics is currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused D Class Truck Driver – Retail Delivery (5-ton straight truck) to join our team in Milton, Ontario servicing local GTA routes.
This is a home daily position focused on scheduled retail deliveries to stores and shopping centres throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The role requires strong customer service skills, the ability to safely operate delivery equipment, and a commitment to maintaining delivery schedules and company safety standards.
Drivers will regularly perform deliveries into retail locations, including shopping malls, and must be comfortable using pump trucks, carts, and other manual handling equipment to move freight and place product in designated store backrooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a D Class 5-ton straight truck to complete scheduled retail deliveries within assigned delivery windows
- Perform local GTA deliveries to retail stores and shopping malls, including inside mall access points when required
- Unload freight using pump trucks, carts, and other delivery equipment
- Transport cartons and merchandise into store backrooms or designated receiving areas
- Provide professional, courteous, and “white glove” customer service during store deliveries
- Maintain accurate shipment documentation and ensure proper scanning and tracking of cartons
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of assigned vehicle
- Ensure freight is properly secured and handled in accordance with safe load securement practices
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on route
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices at all times
- Operate safely in urban and high-traffic GTA delivery environments
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Ontario D Class driver’s license with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience with a D Class license
- Experience operating a 5-ton straight truck (asset)
- Previous retail delivery / LTL delivery experience (asset)
- Comfortable performing inside mall deliveries and navigating retail delivery environments
- Ability to safely operate pump trucks, carts, and manual delivery equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
- Proficient in using a smartphone or handheld scanning device
- Strong understanding of safe load securement practices
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of GTA routes and delivery areas (asset)

- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours if required
