Park Place Lodge is seeking an energetic, experienced hospitality professional to join our team as a Pub Bar & Grill Floor Supervisor.
This is it is a working leadership position. As Floor Supervisor, you will spend the majority of your shift actively working alongside the Front of House team, leading by example while ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth daily operations. In addition to serving guests and supporting the team on the floor, you will take on supervisory responsibilities including coaching staff, handling guest concerns, overseeing service standards, and assisting with operational planning.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in day-to-day service while developing their leadership skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
The position requires a flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Reporting directly to the Pub Manager and Events Manager, you will help oversee the daily operation of the Pub Bar & Grill and support all Food & Beverage outlets as required.
Minimum one-year commitment required. Applicants must hold a valid work permit and a current BC Serving It Right Certificate.
Key Responsibilities
As a working Floor Supervisor, your responsibilities include:
- Leading by example while actively serving guests and supporting front-line operations during every shift.
- Supervising and motivating the Front of House team while maintaining a strong presence on the restaurant floor.
- Assisting the Pub Manager and Events Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Food & Beverage department.
- Supporting service during busy periods by stepping into front-line roles whenever required.
- Coaching and mentoring staff to maintain high standards of service, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Monitoring service quality and guest satisfaction, resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
- Supervising dinner and late-night beverage service to ensure all front and back-of-house duties are completed.
- Coordinating daily Pub operations alongside the Pub Manager.
- Assisting with staff scheduling, event preparation, operational planning, and training initiatives.
- Enforcing company policies, health and safety standards, and liquor regulations.
- Supporting performance management and participating in disciplinary processes when necessary.
- Providing management coverage during scheduled holidays and absences.
- Identifying opportunities to improve service standards, operational efficiency, and Food & Beverage revenue.
- Providing operational support in Banquets, The Bistro, and other Food & Beverage outlets when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry.
- A positive, energetic, and hands-on leadership style.
- Valid BC Serving It Right Certification.
- Strong knowledge of food service standards and hospitality best practices.
- Working knowledge of BC liquor regulations and responsible beverage service.
- Understanding of hotel policies and procedures, including liquor, lottery, employment, and labour legislation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
