Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented X-Ray Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and a commitment to patient care and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly to obtain high-quality images.
- Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Review images for clarity, proper positioning, and quality before forwarding them for interpretation by physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all imaging documentation complies with healthcare regulations.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of imaging equipment.
- Follow clinic policies regarding patient privacy, safety, and infection control.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely and effective patient care.
Requirements
- Certification or licensure as an X-Ray Technologist or Radiologic Technologist -Certified Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) – Registered and in good standing with CAMRT
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Prior experience working with X-ray equipment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Commitment to safety protocols regarding radiation exposure and infection control practices.
- Compassionate approach toward patients, ensuring comfort and reassurance during procedures.
Pay: $38.00-$40.00 per hour
