Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Journeyman/woman to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and maintaining sheet metal components across a variety of commercial and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that building systems such as HVAC, ventilation, and architectural features are constructed with precision and quality. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Fabricate sheet metal components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment with accuracy and efficiency.
- Install ductwork, ventilation systems, and architectural sheet metal features on-site according to specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal parts while adhering to safety standards.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and restoration work on existing sheet metal installations.
- Collaborate with team members including carpenters, plumbers, and construction painters to coordinate project tasks.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a sheet metal journeyman/woman or in a similar construction role with a focus on sheet metal work.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as snips, hammers, drills, and measuring devices.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to construction projects.
- Experience with welding techniques and the use of related equipment is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measuring and fitting components accurately.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials safely, and work at heights when necessary.

Pay: $43.00-$50.00 per hour
