As an environmental compliance professional, your main task will be to participate in industrial and commercial compliance audits and provide regulatory support to our industrial and commercial clients.
You will be responsible for participating in environmental compliance audits related to air, water and soil that may include the various typical stages of a project, namely the preparation of the service offer, planning and report writing. You will need to be familiar with federal and provincial environmental regulations. This position requires regular travel to visit industrial sites mainly located in Quebec and other provinces as needed.
You will work in a team with other specialists such as engineers, technicians, and draftsmen. You may be called upon to participate in other types of regulatory support activities in the industrial sector such as the preparation of applications for various authorizations and permits at the federal, provincial, or municipal levels of government.
Conducting environmental compliance audits, primarily at industrial facilities.
Provide environmental compliance services to Stantec's industrial and commercial clients (applications for ministerial authorizations, identification of environmental requirements, preparation of reports and studies for government authorities for pollutant release, air emissions and GHG inventories).
Participate in the growth of the service by identifying business opportunities.
Collaborate with the professionals of Stantec's other business units in Quebec (building engineering, engineering, transportation), in order to offer environmental support to their projects.
Write service offers.
Ensure that budgets and deadlines are respected.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline.
At least 10 years of relevant experience; qualified to perform audits, good knowledge of regulations.
Member of the Association Québécoise de Vérification Environnementale - AQVE (asset);
