Requirements:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Over 8 years of working experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Possess experience in the study, technical knowledge, and design expertise of electrical distribution systems and industrial controls for a broad range of industries, with a heavy emphasis on utility substations
- Possess knowledge in the design of medium and high voltage power distribution and transmission, including load flow, short circuit and grounding studies, transformer sizing and cable sizing.
- Possess experience in preparing layouts, elevation views, installation details, grounding, lighting, cable trays and conduit layout drawings is required.
- Possess exceptional communication skills (client relations, team project communications, and proposal and report development).
- The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing technical specification of the electrical equipment, evaluation of proposals, and will be able to review vendor drawings.
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge of design of renewable energy facilities such as solar and wind farms.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with HVDC projects.
- The ideal candidate will have experience conducting projects using a 3D design software.
- The ideal candidate will be registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada or the United States. The candidate will have to be a registered Professional Engineer in one of the two countries.
The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $145,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
