Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings. The ideal candidate will support residents with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Experience in senior care, working with individuals with disabilities, or dementia care is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and maintaining a hygienic environment
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or supervisors
- Assist with transfers and mobility exercises to prevent falls or injuries
- Follow care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences
- Ensure safety procedures are adhered to at all times
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to administer medications accurately and responsibly
- Strong caregiving skills with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks efficiently
- Compassionate attitude towards elderly or disabled individuals
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of residents and care plans
