Here’s the job opportunity…
Through a consultative selling approach, in a specific territory and working closely with your fellow sales team members, you will achieve planned objectives. This role will be responsible for working exclusively with our advisors within the WFG distribution channel in British Columbia with potential territory expansion.
You will…
Work closely with your Managing Director (MD) to develop annual sales plans consistent with regional WFG sales plan for life and critical illness products

Assist advisors by designing solutions through training for a variety of concepts for Life products

Maintain advisor contact on an established or regular basis

Develop and follow a territory management regime

Initiate, develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal business partners

Attend WFG related events throughout the year

Considerable travel will be required, mostly within the prescribed territory

Be prepared to do weekend and evening training seminars
-
Ensure sales conduct is beyond reproach
-
Networking within the WFG branch offices to grow advisor base through identifification of new prospects
-
Work closely with Inside Sales Associates to ensure distributor and advisor sales and support needs are met

Document all sales activity and expenses in Salesforce
-
Develop and maintain industry knowledge and awareness of the needs of middle market advisors

Ongoing self- education and improvement through selected education programs and publications
-
Travel throughout the British Columbia region is required, and incumbent must be able to develop an ‘appropriate’ work/life balance
What we are looking for…

A university graduate or equivalent work experience
-
Integral knowledge of the Canadian life insurance industry
-
A minimum 5+ year’s industry experience in the Individual Insurance Products industry with strength in the universal life marketplace
-
Proven ability to seek and identify new business opportunities with a focus on the middle market
-
Proven ability to build on existing business
-
Proven ability to develop and build on relationships with advisors
-
Having sound knowledge of middle market competition
-
Ability to anticipate needs and challenges of targeted advisors and understand full scope of their individual businesses

You have excellent communication and presentation skills
