Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to meet the demands of our logistics operations. Experience with commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, or automotive repair is a plus, as it enhances the ability to handle diverse delivery scenarios and vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations within scheduled timeframes
- Load and unload freight.
- Ensure accurate delivery of freight, verifying orders against delivery manifests
- Maintain cleanliness and routine inspection of delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or issues
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting if necessary to ensure vehicle operability
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate deliveries and documentation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
- Ability to operate within safety guidelines and adhere to traffic laws at all times
- Physical stamina for loading/unloading freight and long periods of driving
Pay: $150.00-$200.00 per day
