Position Summary
In November 2021, Altum launched its strategic plan for 2021-2024, whereby “Investing in Digital Platforms to Enable Access to Care and Data-Driven Decision Making” was named as a foundational enabler for all strategic priorities. To support this shift, a dedicated Digital Health and Strategic Program Delivery team was created to bring together strategy, operations, data & delivery under one roof.
The Manager of Performance and Analytics will play a key leadership role in this portfolio by listening, collaborating, connecting the dots, and building trust in a team. They are able to think strategically, act practically and implement judiciously all while building commitment to a collective goal.
This dynamic and growth-oriented leadership role will have a unique opportunity to develop and implement a new data strategy to support Altum Health’s transformation. Responsibilities includes modernizing Altum’s data practices, leading innovative data projects, such as implementing predictive analytics and advanced business intelligence capabilities and growing and mentoring a team.

Responsibilities
Manage, coach and develop team members that provide analytical support for performance indicators
Provide technical expertise in the areas of performance and analytics to the organization and data team
Problem solve and apply creative critical thinking to translate data into insights that can create new opportunities for Altum Health
Develop short and long-term goals for the Performance and Analytics team, in accordance with the strategic priorities of Altum Health
Work with senior leaders to devise and implement a new data strategy that leverages current industry best practices in healthcare
Transform business and clinical requirements into data analytics requests and prioritize activities to ensure team resources are used to maximize outcomes
Support internal and external stakeholder engagements to be able to summarize complex analytics concepts into meaningful results
Demonstrate sound judgement in identifying risks and mitigation strategies that may affect the portfolio and/or organization, in a timely manner

Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in in Health Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required
At least five years of progressively supervisory/management experience
Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, MS Power BI
Excellent analytical, problem recognition and resolution skills
Excellent decision making skills with the ability to form and defend independent judgements
Experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders, including clinicians
Experience working with data modules in Epic

Considered an Asset
Masters of Business Administration or Masters of Health Administration, Masters of Data Science or equivalent preferred
Knowledge of hospital, outpatient rehabilitation (e.g., WSIB, etc.) and Independent Examination business processes
Strong knowledge of current data analysis best practices in healthcare
Experience in implementing data projects in a complex organization
