Role: ServiceNow ITOM Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+ Months extendable contract
Key Responsibilities:
- ServiceNow ITOM Development & Implementation:
- Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow ITOM solutions, including Event Management, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Operational Intelligence.
- Customize ServiceNow modules and applications to meet business requirements and improve IT operations efficiency.
- Integration & Automation:
- Integrate ServiceNow ITOM with other IT systems and applications to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
- Develop and maintain integration connectors, APIs, and scripts to automate routine tasks and enhance operational workflows.
- Configuration Management:
- Manage and configure the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to maintain accurate and up-to-date configuration data.
- Implement and refine CI (Configuration Item) relationships and data models to support ITIL processes.
- Monitoring & Optimization:
- Implement and configure ServiceNow Event Management to monitor IT infrastructure and services for issues and performance.
- Analyze performance metrics and logs to optimize ServiceNow ITOM solutions and address potential issues proactively.
- Customization & Development:
- Develop custom applications, workflows, and scripts within ServiceNow to meet specific business needs.
- Utilize ServiceNow’s scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript) to enhance and extend platform capabilities.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with IT operations teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical support for ServiceNow ITOM solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow ITOM modules and integrations.
- Documentation & Training:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for ServiceNow ITOM solutions, including design specifications, user guides, and operational procedures.
- Provide training and support to end-users and IT staff on ServiceNow ITOM functionalities and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with ServiceNow updates, new features, and industry best practices.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to ServiceNow ITOM solutions to improve performance and functionality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) as a ServiceNow Developer, with a focus on ITOM modules and solutions.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITOM modules such as Event Management, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Operational Intelligence.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript) and experience with ServiceNow integrations and APIs.
- Experience with ITIL processes and frameworks, particularly in incident management, change management, and configuration management.
- Familiarity with databases, data modeling, and experience with SQL and data manipulation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
