We are looking for a General Manager who shares that philosophy and understands that great hospitality is about creating an environment where guests feel welcomed and the team feels valued.
About the Role
As General Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of Woodlyns while working closely with ownership and the kitchen and front-of-house teams. You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of hospitality, developing our team, and ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently and successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily restaurant operations and set the standard for hospitality and service.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience for every guest.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop a strong front-of-house team.
- Build a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and labour effectively.
- Work closely with kitchen leadership to maintain strong communication between front and back of house.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain high standards for service, cleanliness, food presentation, and restaurant operations.
- Monitor sales, labour, food costs, inventory, and other key financial metrics.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements.
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Work with ownership to continually improve the restaurant and grow the business.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of restaurant or hospitality management experience.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and service.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Strong understanding of restaurant financials and cost control.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, food, and taking care of people.
- A leader who is hands-on, accountable, positive, and committed to building a strong team and community.
Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
