Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
Schedule: 4-8 hour shifts, between 12PM and 12AM
Description:
Our dessert shop is a new-concept storefront specializing in all things taiyaki with locations in Richmond, Burnaby, and Vancouver. We are looking for a full-time manager to join us at our UBC location.
You must have at least 2 years of experience working in a food & beverage setting, and at least 2 years of management experience in a customer-facing role. You must be comfortable managing several tasks simultaneously. We value a friendly, open-door environment, so having interpersonal skills would be a big win as well!
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of customer service management experience
- 2+ years of food & beverage experience
- Able to work 30+ hours per week
- Understanding of general food safety and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing tasks
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring the highest quality
- Positive attitude, and willingness to learn
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation & Production: Assist in the preparation and cooking all menu products according to our recipes and standards. Ensure that everything is made to consistent quality.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with our menu offerings, including flavors, fillings, and toppings. Educate customers about our products and ingredients.
- Store Logistics: Maintaining inventory, general cleaning, organizing, and maintenance. Follow proper health & food safety processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure things are done effectively and efficiently.
- Team: Manage the entire staff, ensuring the team's needs are met, train new staff, and handle scheduling for the store.
