Job Title: Roofer

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Roofer to join our team in Etobicoke, ON. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial and residential roofing, specializing in asphalt systems and torch-down membrane application. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing roofing systems while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.
Install, repair, and replace flat and pitched roofs using Asphalt Systems and Torch-Down (SBS/APP) Membrane Roofing.
Inspect roofs to determine the best repair or installation methods and estimate necessary materials.
Inspect roof decks for damage or rot and prepare surfaces by cleaning, laying insulation, and applying underlayment.
Safely operate open-flame propane torches for torch-on membrane applications in compliance with safety regulations.
Install flashing, gutters, downspouts, and vents to ensure watertight protection.
Maintain a clean and safe work site, adhering to provincial safety codes and wearing required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
Work collaboratively with team members and site supervisors to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven roofing experience.
Technical Skills: Strong hands-on expertise in Asphalt Systems and Torch-Down Membrane Roofing.
Safety Certifications: Working at Heights certification is required (Fall Protection training preferred).
Physical Capability: Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs), work at heights, stand for long hours, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to work comfortably with open-flame equipment safely.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Etobicoke, ON.
Hourly Rate: $25.00 to $30.00 / hour (based on experience)
