Cabinet Installers/Carpenters - National Carpentry Installation - NCI
We are seeking Cabinet Installers to join our growing company at NCI.
NCI or National Carpentry Installation is located in Winnipeg at 981 Main Street.
This is a FT role and involves reading blueprints, preparing layouts, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling structures according to building codes. Framers may also install windows, doors, and other components.
Key Responsibilities Details
- Measuring and Planning: Measure the space, assess the site, and plan the layout for cabinet installation.
- Assembling and Installing: Assemble and install the cabinets, ensuring proper alignment and secure mounting.
- Applying Finishes: May apply finishes like paint or stain to the cabinets, depending on the project.
- Countertop Installation: May handle the installation of countertops.
- Electrical and Plumbing: In some cases, they may also handle electrical and plumbing work related to the cabinets if qualified and required and required to do so.
Requirements of the role:
- At least 2 years experience with hand and power tools, and an understanding of carpentry techniques are essential. The ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and plans is crucial. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is necessary.
- Cabinetry work can be physically demanding, requiring lifting, bending, and climbing.
- Own tool belt with tools is required.
- Able to perform physical labour jobs, including standing/walking for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs. for up to eight hours at a time
- Must have steel toe boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses and other PPE may be needed
- Client facing position: respectful communication and neat and tidy appearance is a must
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow verbal or written directions, a high sense of urgency, and a team player attitude

Salary Range: $22-32 per hour depending on experience
