Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed during food handling and serving
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen support as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with sanitation standards
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing inquiries, special requests, and resolving issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation guidelines
- Basic math skills for bill calculation and cash handling accuracy
- Effective time management to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of food industry standards, including food handling, safety, and guest services
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food preparation processes is a plus
- Ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and serve guests efficiently
