Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Media Relations Coordinator to join our communications team. Duties
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry influencers to secure media coverage.
- Craft clear, engaging press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials that align with organizational messaging.
- Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, and public appearances for organizational representatives.
- Conduct research on media trends, audience preferences, and competitive positioning to inform strategic outreach efforts.
- Proofread all outgoing communication to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency with branding standards.
- Assist in developing marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness through media channels.
- Monitor media coverage and compile reports on publicity efforts and public perception.
- Manage social media platforms by creating content that promotes organizational initiatives and engages target audiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging aligns with organizational goals and campaigns.
Qualifications
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to confidently represent the organization in various settings.
- Excellent research skills to identify opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.
- Proven proofreading and writing skills with attention to detail for creating polished communication materials.
- Experience or background in marketing is preferred but not required; a keen understanding of branding principles is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively convey messages across diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Prior experience in media relations or public relations is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay: $53,756.04-$55,171.86 per year
