UK-based editing company looking for a bright, meticulous person willing to work from home (after initial training). The position involves editing and proofreading of documents (largely written by ESL post-grad authors): mainly academic journal submissions, theses/dissertations, CVs, grant applications, etc. The position also involves some (< 5% of workload) composition work (website content: we are not an essay writing service) and some administrative duties.
All employeesreceive25 days ofpaid leave per year, inclusive of national holidays (with some restrictions on when).
Successful applicants will relish attention to detail and be industrious (within 42.5-hour workweek: 8.5 hours, including 1.5-hour paid break, per day). Degree required -- masters or higher in any discipline is a definite plus.

If selected, you will have a telephone interview followed by a short editing skills test and an in-person appraisal. If successful, a trainer will take office space near your location for a 5-day intensive training course, for which you will be paid at a rate of $100 per day. This will be followed by a 1-month probationary period on two-thirds pay and then a 3-month period on four-fifths pay (or until reasonable targets are met). MUST BE AVAILABLE TO START Monday, April 15th.
