Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food service
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
- Lead food preparation activities, ensuring consistency and presentation quality across all dishes
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimize waste
- Train and mentor team members on culinary techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant standards
- Ensure adherence to all food safety policies and sanitation practices
- Support restaurant management in maintaining excellent customer service by ensuring timely and quality food delivery
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and leadership within the kitchen environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant service with a focus on leadership roles such as supervising or managing teams
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and handling procedures within the food industry
- Previous experience in restaurant management or hospitality is highly desirable
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
- Demonstrated ability to oversee kitchen operations efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of food industry trends, menu development, and culinary techniques
