Stuart Olson Inc., is seeking General Labourers, ideally with 2+ years’ experience in the construction industry. We are a team of dedicated people who take pride in the work we do, the exceptional customers we serve, and the communities we call home.

Our team is seeking Labourers for our Cold Lake, AB client site.

Working Conditions

Work both indoors and outdoors.

The regular rotation will consist of 5 days on and 2 days off. Monday through Thursday are 9 hour shifts and Fridays are an 8-hour shift.

Approximately once a month the rotation will change to 15 days on followed by 3 days off. The regular rotation resumes after the 3 days off.



Demonstrate the Promise and contribute to it becoming embedded across the organization.

General Labour

Load and unload materials and move materials to work area.

Operate and care for equipment and machines.

Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.

Mop, brush, or spread paints, cleaning solutions, or other compounds over surfaces to clean or protect them.

Follow instructions from crew lead hand and foreman.

Assist craft workers.

Stuart Olson Corporate

Lead and participate in corporate initiatives as requested.


2 years’ experience as a general labourer in the construction industry an asset

Drug and Alcohol Testing required


Emergency First Aid

H2S Alive

Valid Driver’s License

Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions

Positive attitude to safety

Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude

Superior written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance

Stand or walk for long periods of time

Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects

Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects

Safety equipment will be required, 6” high ankle steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, hard hat, safety vest and gloves to be provided.
