Join our fun and supportive Tiny Hoppers Summerside team as an Preschool Educator and help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing space for children. In this role, you’ll spark curiosity, encourage learning, and support children’s social and emotional growth through meaningful, hands‑on activities. Responsibilities
- *** Willingness to drive our daycare van as back up, when required***
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction for children
- Supervise children to ensure their safety, well-being, and positive behavior throughout the program
- Support children's individual needs
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages inclusivity, respect, and cooperation among children and families
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, achievements, and any concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe activity space in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to develop program schedules that balance educational content with recreational fun
Qualifications
- Clean driving record
- Current police clearance with vulnerable sector (or willing to obtain)
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is required
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong skills in classroom management and observation skills
- Ability to create engaging activities tailored to diverse age groups and learning styles
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively and foster a respectful environment
- A genuine passion for supporting children's growth, learning, and social-emotional development
- Current CPR/First Aid

We provide additional paid time off during Christmas and Summer at the owners discretion.
Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
