Job Summary
Who We Are
MiBody Collective isn’t a big-box gym. We’re a boutique health and wellness studio built around the belief that movement, treatment, and community belong together. Our team includes physiotherapists, osteopathic manual practitioners, acupuncturists, massage therapists, and fitness coaches who actually talk to each other – and work together to support clients for the long haul. We’re not interested in transactional fitness. We’re building something with staying power.
The Role
We’re looking for a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor who leads with strength training and thinks in terms of longevity – not just aesthetics or performance peaks. You understand that prehab is underrated, that rehab requires humility, and that the best programming respects the whole person, not just the session in front of you.
This isn’t a role for someone looking to fill a schedule and move on. It’s for someone ready to plant roots, grow a client base within a real community, and collaborate meaningfully with the manual therapists, physiotherapists, and allied health practitioners on our team.
What You’ll Actually Do
- Design and deliver strength-focused personal training and small group sessions
- Work alongside osteopaths, acupuncturists, massage therapists, and physiotherapists to support shared clients through injury, recovery, and performance goals
- Contribute to a studio culture grounded in healthy movement, education, and care
- Build and manage your own client roster with the support of an established studio infrastructure
- Participate in studio events, classes, and community initiatives
- Engage authentically on social media as a voice of the studio (an asset, not a requirement – but if you love it, we’d love that)
You’re the Right Fit If:
- You hold a recognized personal training certification – canfitpro (CPT or PTS), CSEP-CPT, NSCA-CPT, NASM, or equivalent – and have 3+ years of hands-on experience
- You have genuine working knowledge of strength programming, functional movement, prehab/rehab principles, and injury-aware coaching
- You’ve worked alongside or are eager to collaborate with physiotherapists, manual therapists, or other allied health practitioners
- You understand the hustle of independent practice and you’re done gym-hopping – you want to build something
- You’re a communicator and a collaborator, not just a good trainer
- You’re available afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with morning availability
- You think about your clients’ health ten years from now, not just next month
What We Offer
- A professional, treatment-forward studio environment with an established client community
- Real collaboration with manual therapists, physiotherapists, and wellness practitioners under one roof
- Room to grow your practice. We invest in people who invest in us
- A schedule that fits the industry (no 5am or bust)
- Support, visibility, and a community that actually shows up for each other
To Apply
Send us your resume and a short note - not a cover letter template, just a genuine paragraph or two about where you’re at in your career and what kind of practice you’re trying to build. We want to know who you are, not just what certifications you hold.
Applications without a personal note will not be reviewed.
