We are looking for the newest member of our Yonge dental team! We are a family-style dental clinic with a dedicated team of doctors and staff who work together to provide exceptional in-house patient care.
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our practice.
The ideal candidate will be coordinating patient treatments, handling insurance claims, checking in patients, following up on preauthorization requests, managing appointments, and ensuring excellent communication between patients and our dental professionals. Located in North York, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to a trusted family dental practice committed to excellent care. Proficiency in a dental software is a must!
Duties
- Submit electronic insurance claims with accurate charting
- Add patient insurance information and complete new patient registrations
- Submit preauthorization requests and follow up with insurance providers
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments as needed
- Collect payments and process billing using dental office software
- Verify and update patient insurance information accurately
- Greet patients warmly and check them in using systems such as Dentrix or Clear Dent
- Manage a multi-line phone system to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and data entry
- Maintain a clean and professional front desk environment
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding procedures, billing, and appointment reminders in a professional
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist in a dental office setting
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix or ClearDent
- Experience submitting dental claims and charting dental treatments
- Familiarity with dental terminology and dental insurance processes
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dental care
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a multi-line phone system efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$29.90 per hour
