About us
We are a family of 4, with an adorable 25 lb pomsky. We are located in Downtown Toronto looking for an experienced, reliable, and engaging Part-Time Nanny & House Manager - to care for our two children, ages 2.5 and 4.
Our kids are active, playful, and love to have fun. Our daughter is a little calmer by nature, while our son is more rambunctious and energetic. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children and can create a fun, positive environment while also providing structure and consistency.
The ideal candidate will be warm, responsible, and confident caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children. We are looking for someone who can become a trusted and dependable part of our family's routine.
Schedule
Standard
- 3 weekday evenings per week, approximately 3:00PM–8:30 PM
- 1 weekend day per week (most weekends) approximately 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- (flexibility to stay later)Flexibility to stay later 1-2 days per week as needed
- Approximately 25-35 hours per week
- additional hours/overtime
We are looking for someone who can commit to this schedule on an ongoing basis. Flexibility for occasional schedule changes or additional hours is required.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will primarily focus on caring for the children and helping keep their evening and weekend routines running smoothly.
Nanny Duties include:
- Picking the children up from daycare/preschool
- Engaging with the children through age-appropriate play and activities
- Taking the children to activities and outings
- Preparing and serving dinner for the children
- Feeding and supervising the children
- Managing bath and bedtime routines
- Helping maintain consistent daily routine
- Tidying toys and children's spaces
- Helping create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for the children
House manager duties
- Cleaning common areas including kitchen
- dishes after the children are in bed or napping
- laundry - fold/hang/ironing
- general housekeeping on main floor and laundry area
We also have a friendly family dog, so candidates must be comfortable around dogs. The dog will not be a primary responsibility of the role - however comfort with occasionally walking the dog is an asset.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced working as a nanny or childcare professional
- Experienced caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Warm, playful, patient, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children
- Comfortable managing two active young children
- Able to balance fun and engagement with appropriate boundaries and routines
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and responsible
- Comfortable taking initiative and working independently
- A strong communicator with parents
- A non-smoker
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Able to provide professional references
- An ECE or someone with a strong early childhood education background is an asset
- Comfortable around dogs
Professional nanny or childcare experience is strongly preferred.
