Senior Buyer – Drive Procurement Excellence in Manufacturing
Are you a results-driven procurement professional ready to make a tangible impact? We are seeking a Senior Buyer to source materials, manage suppliers, and ensure production runs smoothly. This role combines tactical procurement with strategic supplier relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services to support operations.
- Source, evaluate, negotiate, and secure the best pricing and terms.
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure on-time delivery to meet production needs.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; monitor performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with Operations, Production, and Customer Service to meet delivery requirements.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Post-secondary education in materials management, supply chain, or business (SCMP designation a plus).
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with a positive, proactive mindset.
